Romania has its hopes pinned on the performance of Simona Halep. Here is what the player told Radio Romania:
“It has been a rather long break for me, but I have recovered very well and very quickly after the injury I picked up in Miami. I had to undergo a finger surgery. I am happy to be able to be part of this wonderful team and will do my best to bring 1 point, because the team is counting on me for a win. I don’t want to put too much pressure on myself, I just want to play my normal game and do my best on the pitch, since I’ve always enjoyed playing for Romania”.
