The Arrivals parking lot at Bucharest Henri Coand\u0103 International Airport is undergoing consolidation and modernization works. The Bucharest National Airports Company has started consolidation and modernization works on the multi-story parking lot in front of the Arrivals Terminal. The works will last approximately 10 months and will be carried out in stages, in order to reduce the impact on passengers. The Arrivals parking lot remains open only on the ground floor; the upper floors are temporarily closed. Buses 100 and 442, which connect to the city center, no longer stop at Arrivals, but only at the Departures station. The ride-sharing pick-up area has been moved to the Departures Terminal. The taxi station remains in front of the Arrivals Terminal. Due to the reduction in the number of spaces, passengers are encouraged to use the parking lot in the Departures area. The airport has 2,226 parking spaces, but about 400 are unavailable during the works. To increase capacity, the Bucharest National Airports Company has launched a tender for the construction of a new Long Term parking lot for passengers. The parking lot will be multi-story, will have four levels, and passengers will benefit from 795 long-term parking spaces. The new infrastructure will be located on the airport grounds, in the vicinity of the ‘Aeroport Henri Coand\u0103’ train station, with direct exits to the national road (DN1).<\/p>\n
On another topic, PPC Blue Romania won the tender organized by the Bucharest National Airports Company to install seven ultra-fast charging stations for electric vehicles within the premises of the Bucharest “Henri Coand\u0103” International Airport. The agreement provides for the commissioning of the stations, with a power of 200 kW each, by June 29. The stations will have two charging points each and will be located in the parking lot near the Departures Terminal.<\/p>\n
The second airport in the city, the \u201cAurel Vlaicu\u201d International Airport in Baneasa, is better connected to the city. The route of line 196 has been extended, with buses providing a direct connection between three important transport hubs, Baneasa Airport, Gara de Nord (Bucharest\u2019s main train station), and Filaret Bus Station. At same time, 10 drinking water stations have been installed in the two airports in Bucharest. The water stations are available both in public areas and in restricted areas of the terminals, including at the boarding gates in the \u2018Departures\u2019 or \u2018Arrivals\u2019 areas. Passengers have access to free drinking water and water bottle refilling devices. Of the 10 stations, one was installed at the ‘Aurel Vlaicu’ Baneasa International Airport.
