He stated that the unprecedented nature of the incident requires a firm, coordinated, and proportionate response\u2014at the national, allied, and international levels.<br \/>\nNicu\u0219or Dan also announced that Romania has officially requested that allies deploy additional anti-drone capabilities on national territory to strengthen our defense and that of the Alliance\u2019s Eastern Flank, in accordance with SACEUR\u2019s instructions.<br \/>\n\u2013\u2013\u2013\u2013\u2013\u2013<br \/>\nUPDATE: Reaction from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs<br \/>\nThe Ministry of Foreign Affairs characterizes this incident as a serious and irresponsible escalation on the part of the Russian Federation.<br \/>\nRomania will take the necessary diplomatic measures in response to this serious violation of international law and its airspace.<br \/>\nRomanian authorities have informed the Allies and the NATO Secretary General of the circumstances and have requested the acceleration of the transfer of anti-drone capabilities to Romania.<br \/>\nThe Russian Federation remains an aggressor state waging an illegal war with serious implications for regional security and the safety of citizens.
