\nROMANIA – Over 20.500 COVID-19 infections have been confirmed in Romania, 14.600
\npeople have officially recovered and the latest death toll has climbed to
\n1.326. According to the Group for Strategic Communication, some 3.100 Romanians
\nliving abroad have tested positive for the virus and 114 have died. In another
\nmove, Health Minister Nelu Tataru said a potential second wave of the pandemic
\nwill be less deadly than the first. It is the Romanian Health Minister’s belief
\nthat life will return to quasi-normal parameters by late July – early August,
\nshould the population continue observing precautionary regulations.<\/p>\n

REPATRIATIONS – The Foreign Ministry says some 346
\nRomanian nationals were returned to Romania from France, Italy and Belgium on
\nJune 5. The action was part of a wider series of efforts to repatriate

\nrestrictions. This action also helped 27 foreign citizens return to their home
\ncountries, 22 French, 2 Canadian, 2 British and 1 from Cameroon, the Foreign

\nPresident David Malpass said the current economic crisis spells catastrophe. In
\nan interview to the BBC, the World Bank official called on governments to start
\nimplementing new systems that should restart economic growth. In a press

\nmore than 2$ a day as a result of the COVID-19 economic fallout. Restoring
