\nEastern Ukraine in order to protect the people, calling on the Ukrainian army
\nto lay down their weapons. President Putin insisted that Ukraine’s bid to join

According to the
\nCNN, explosions were reported in the Borsypil area, close to the capital Kiev, minutes
\nwithin the announcement. Additional explosions were also reported in the cities
\nof Kramatorsk, Mariupol, Odessa and Kharkov, according to different sources. The
\nauthorities have restricted air traffic in the regions around Kyiv, Dnipro,
\nLviv, Odessa and Simferopol.<\/p>\n

\nBiden has condemned Russia’s unprovoked and unjustified attack on Ukraine in
\na statement early Thursday morning. President Putin has chosen a premeditated
\nwar that will bring a catastrophic loss of life and human suffering. Russia
\nalone is responsible for the death and destruction this attack will bring, and
\nthe United States and its Allies and partners will respond in a united and
\ndecisive way, the US president said. <\/p>\n

On Wednesday
\nnight, during an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council, Secretary
\nGeneral Antonio Guterres had told Russian President Vladimir Putin to stop
