\nGermany’s Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, for his country’s support for Romania’s
\nSchengen accession efforts. I hail today’s announcement in Prague made by
\nGerman Chancellor Olaf Scholz regarding Germany’s support for Romania’s
\nSchengen accession – a strategic objective for my country, which has fulfilled
\nall technical accession criteria, president Iohannis wrote on social media.
\nSimilar messages were conveyed by Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuc\u0103 and Foreign Minister
\nBogdan Aurescu. Germany’s Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Monday said Bulgaria,
\nCroatia and Romania have complied with Schengen accession criteria, Reuters
\nreports. In his address, Olaf Scholz noted that Schengen is one the EU’s
\ngreatest achievements, which must be protected and developed. This means
\nfilling up the gaps – Croatia, Romania and Bulgaria have met all technical
\ncriteria. I will take action to make sure they become full members, the German

EXAM – The average grade for the secondary cycle
\nof education in Romania, (grades 5-8) will be discarded as a criterion for
\nenrolling in high-schools starting the 2022-2023 school year. Education
\nMinister Sorin C\u00eempeanu says students will be ranked based on the average of
\nthe national evaluation exams, taken at the end of the secondary cycle.
\nMinister C\u00eempeanu stated the measure was adopted on the sidelines of the Social
\nDialogue Committee meeting. For the first time, 5th graders will
\nreceive social and tuition scholarships from the start of the school year on
\nSeptember 5. Sorin C\u00eempeanu recalled that an additional 60 million EUR has been
\nadded to the scholarship budget this year, which previously totaled over 200
