The United Kingdom’s longest-living
\nmonarch, Queen Elizabeth II, has passed away aged 96 at Balmoral Castle, the Royal
\nFamily said in a statement on Thursday evening. <\/p>\n

The Queen had been on medical supervision in
\nher summer home Thursday afternoon. Her four children had arrived to be by her
\nside in her last moments, including her son, Prince Charles, the heir to the
\nthrone. <\/p>\n

The Queen this Tuesday had met her 15th
\nPrime Minister, Liz Truss, whom she appointed to form a Cabinet. <\/p>\n

Queen Elizabeth ascended to the throne in
\n1952 and reigned for 70 years.<\/p>\n
