\nstabilization of the public debt and the implementation of policies aimed at
\nensuring a gradual fiscal consolidation. Fitch mentions both the economic
\nresilience demonstrated by Romania in 2022, and the political stability that
\nmade it possible to address the crisis generated by the war in Ukraine and the
\nenergy crisis, says the Ministry of Finance. According to Fitch, Romania’s
\neconomy will register an increase of 2.3% in 2023 and 3% in 2024, given that
\nthe country will benefit from important European funds both from the
\nMultiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027 and from the Recovery and Resilience
\nMechanism. The main factors that could lead to the improvement of the country
\nrating or the outlook are the firm stabilization of the share of public debt in
\nthe GDP in the medium term and the reduction of the fiscal deficit, the

\nrapid climate change. The Ministry of the Environment in Bucharest joins
\ninstitutions from more than 8,000 cities in 195 countries that participate, on
\nSaturday, from 20:30, in Romania, in the 17th edition of Earth Hour. To mark
\nthis event, the interior, exterior and festive lighting of the Palace of Parliament
\nin Bucharest will be turned off between 20:30 and 21:30.<\/p>\n
