\nthey will hold a joint press conference. The trip by the EU official comes two
\ndays after a meeting of EU heads of state and government in Brussels which
\nmainly focused on the situation in Ukraine. <\/p>\n

\nlabour committees are debating a government bill on Monday on the reduction of
\nworkplace pensions expenditure. The reduction of expenditure connected to
\npensions and indemnities is a condition laid down in the National Recovery and
\nResilience Plan. Under the bill proposed by the government, workplace pensions
\ncan no longer exceed the income obtained before retirement and they are to be
\ncalculated based on contribution. <\/p>\n

\nlaunching a new initiative led by Commissioner Mariya
\nGabriel to encourage reading and help young people in particular
\ndiscover European literature and its linguistic and cultural diversity, with
\nthe first edition of the Day of European Authors to be launched on Monday in
\nSofia. More than 1,000 schools from across the continent are holding reading
\nsessions, with 100 European authors taking part in reading aloud events.
\nEveryone is also invited to share on their social media images of books by
\ntheir favourite European writer with the hashtag Read with Europe. In Romania,

\ndynamics of the two armies’ participation in NATO and EU missions and
\noperations and the intensification of joint training for all types of forces so
\nas to enhance interoperability. The Romanian defence official thanked his
\nItalian counterpart for how the Italian Air Force military deployed to Romania since
\n2019 have fulfilled their missions. Since the start of Russia’s war of
\naggression against Ukraine, Italian Air Force military are at their second participation
