NATO Finland has today become the 31st
\nmember of NATO right ahead a two-day meeting of NATO foreign ministers. The

Finland and Sweden last year applied for NATO
\naccession shortly after the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and
\nthey were given the statute of invitees also last year. While Finland got the
\ngreenlight from all NATO members, Sweden’s accession has been delayed by
\nTurkey. Stoltenberg has expressed hope that Sweden will soon become a
\nfully-fledged member just like Finland. During their meeting, the allies are
\nexpected to tackle the illegal war Russia is presently waging on Ukraine and
\nendorse a multiannual support programme. Southern threats and provocations, the
\nimportance of increased investment in the defence industry and China’s increased

DEBATES The legal committee of the Chamber of Deputies in Bucharest is today
\nresuming debates over the new Criminal Code amendments, criminalizing the abuse
\nof office and neglect of duty. The initial form endorsed by the Senate,
\nproviding for a ceiling of roughly five thousand Euros for this crime is going
\nto be amended. The ruling coalition held talks about an 18 hundred euros
\nceiling whereas the Liberals have announced their intention to propose a
\nceiling of 12 hundred euros, accounting for two minimum wages. The opposition

MEETING We are supporting the Republic of Moldova with
