\nHermannstadt. In the first leg, AFC Hermannstadt Sibiu clinched a 1-nil home

The
\nfriendly game pitting Romania’s national squad against Finland, to be played on
\nMay 5th, will be hosted by the Ilie Oan\u0103 stadium in Ploie\u015fti, a town in
\nsouthern Romania. According to the president of the Romanian Football
\nFederation Razvan Burleanu, the decision has been made taking into account the
\nfact that the Romanian national team’s first game in the League of Nations will
\nalso be hosted by the aforementioned stadium in Ploiesti. <\/p>\n

Romania’s national squad will be
\nplaying their debut fixture against the team of Montenegro, on September 7th.
\nThe game will be played behind closed doors as the result of a sanction placed
\nby UEFA. On September 10th, Romania will take on Serbia in an away
\ngame. On October 11th, Romania will play a fixture against
\nLithuania, also away from home, while on October 14th, the national
\nsquad will be up against Serbia, this time in a home match. On November 17th,
\nRomania takes on Lithuania on home turf, while on November the 20th,
\nRomania faces Montenegro again. <\/p>\n

At a press conference, Razvan
\nBurleanu has also made public the fact that he intends to have the number of
\nfirst leaguers increase from 14 to 16. Burleanu went on to say the new system
\nwould be implemented starting with the 2020-2021 season. Four Division B teams
\nwould be promoted directly, while the 5th team will be promoted
\nthrough playoffs. <\/p>\n

The Group1\/Group 2 system will be
\nkept in place, but the team at the top of the table in group 2 will be granted
\nthe chance to fight for a place in Europa League, through a playoff game
