Romanias national football squad secured a 2-1 win against Lithuania in Vilnius on Thursday night, in a match counting towards the 4th group of the Nations Leagues C series. Romania, which dominated the game almost entirely, obtained the win in extra-time with a goal scored by Alexandru Maxim. Chipciu had put Romania in the lead with a goal on 13 minutes but Arthuras Zulpa leveled the scoring in the 89th minute. This has been Romanias first win in the competition after two draws, nil-all against Montenegro at home, and 2-all in an away game against Serbia. Romanias national football side is to take on Serbia in Bucharest on Sunday. In the first leg, the Romanian champions managed to outperform Ferencvaros 36-31, while Bietigheim ended in a draw, 27-all, their game against Norwegian side Kristiansand.
