\nquarterfinals on Saturday, Dobrogea Sud defeated 38-31 CSM Alexandria. On
\nSunday, Dinamo grabbed a 36-28 win over Potaissa Turda, while Poli won 24-21
\nagainst Magnum Botosani. Finally, CSM Bacau qualified after defeating HC Buzau

The Romanian men’s ice hockey team
\nmoved on to the third preliminary phase for the 2022 Winter Olympics in
\nBeijing. Romania won Group K in the second preliminary phase, following Sunday’s
\n10-1 win against Iceland in a match hosted by the Olympic Ice Rink in Brasov. In
\nthe other group fixture, Kirgizstan won 5-4 against Israel following stoppage
\ntime. In the final standings Romania ranked first with 9 points, followed by
\nIceland with 6 points, Kirgizstan with 2 points and Israel with 1 point. Romania
\nwill thus play in Group J in the final preliminary phase and will compete in
\nNottingham over February 6-9, alongside Great Britain, Estonia and Hungary. <\/p>\n

This weekend saw a new round of the
\nRomanian football championship. On Friday, Sepsi Sfantu Gheorghe won 2-1
