Romanian
\nfootball champions CFR Cluj had a perfect start in the Europa League group
\nphase. Last Thursday, Dan Petrescu’s trainees defeated CSKA Sofia of Bulgaria
\n2-nil, and is now top of the tables in Group A. Ciprian Deac had a stellar performance,
\ncontributing to both goals scored by the Romanian side. On minute 53, Adrian
\nP\u0103un took a shot corner, Deac sent a superb cross into the penalty box and
\nVenezuelan striker Mario Rondon sent the ball into the back of the net with a
\nheader. Twenty minutes later, Croatian player Gabriel Debeljuh was tackled
\nillegally in the penalty area, and the referee ruled penalty kick. Deac scored
\neasily, setting the final score, 2-nil. For his crucial contribution to CFR’s

Criprian Deac
\nwas born February 16, 1986 in Bistri\u0163a. He made his debut with the local side,
\nGloria, then he moved to Unirea Dej. In 2006 he was first transferred to CFR
\nCluj. He was then signed by O\u0163elul Gala\u0163i. In 2010 he played in Bundesliga for
\nSchalke 04, although he spent much of his time at the German club on the substitutes
\nbench. Also in 2010 he made his debut for Romania’s national team, in a match
\nagainst Israel. Overall he has 24 caps for the national team. In 2012 Ciprian
\nDeac returned to CFR, where he played for another three years, then he transferred
\nto Kazakhstan. He played for two clubs, FC Aktobe and FC Tobol. After a
\ntwo-year spell he returned to CFR Cluj for the third time in his career. <\/p>\n

On Thursday, CFR
\nCluj will play its second match in the current edition of Europa League. CFR
\nwill go up against Young Boys Berne of Switzerland on home turf. In the first
\ngroup fixture, the Swiss team lost at home 1-2 to AS Rome of Italy. <\/p>\n
