\nRomanian women’s handball side, SCM R\u00e2mnicu V\u00e2lcea, on Sunday secured their
\nfirst win in this year’s edition of the Champions League. SCM clinched a 27-25
\naway win against the Croatians from Podravka Koprivnica. German handballer
\nEvgenija Minevskaja scored most of the goals for the Romanian side, 7. The
\nRomanian champions are now ranking 6th in group B. In group A, CSM
\nBucharest dropped to the third position after losing to Vipers Kristiansand of
\nNorway 22-29. <\/p>\n
In the
\nChampions League, Dunarea Braila ended in a 25-all draw their game against
\nRussian side Kuban Krasnodar. Dunarea ranked 2nd in the
\ncompetition’s group D with three points, the same as the group’s leader,
\nHungarian side Siofok.<\/p>\n

\nhockey now. Romanian side CS Gheorgheni secured a 1-0 win against their
\nHungarian opponent DEAC Debrecen in an away game counting towards the regional
\ncompetition Erste Liga. Akos Szigeti scored the match’s only goal in the last
\nminute of the game. Before this game CS had suffered two consecutive away
\ndefeats and are presently ranking 7th in the competition. <\/p>\n

Last
\nweekend saw the matches counting towards the 17th leg of Romania’s
\nfirst football league. On Saturday, Chindia Targoviste secured a 1-0 away win
\nagainst Dinamo Bucharest. Sunday saw three matches. In Pitesti, southern
\nRomania, FC Arges versus Gaz Metan Medias ended in a one-all draw, while in
\nSfantu Gheorghe, central Romania, local side Sepsi lost to CFR Cluj 1-0. <\/p>\n

Academica
\nClinceni versus FC Hermannstadt ended in a goaless draw in Calarasi, southern
\nRomania. On Monday Poli Iasi takes on FC Botosani and Astra Giurgiu is up
\nagainst Universitatea Craiova. Two matches have been scheduled for Tuesday, FC
\nVoluntari plays UTA and Viitorul Constanta takes on FCSB, a team which is
\ncurrently ranking first in the standings with 37 points, followed by CFR Cluj,
\nwith the same number of points but a lower goal ratio. <\/p>\n
