{"id":175853,"date":"2021-03-15T17:04:01","date_gmt":"2021-03-15T15:04:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/devrri.freshlemon.ro\/news-and-current-affairs\/newsflash\/175853-175853.html"},"modified":"2023-10-04T08:58:46","modified_gmt":"2023-10-04T05:58:46","slug":"175853","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rri.ro\/en\/close-up\/rri-special\/175853-id175853.html","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Saturday, March 13, an art gallery in downtown Bucharest opened a show entitled &#8220;mud&#038;butterflies,&#8221; the second personal show by artist Chioma Ebinama with the Catinca T\u0103b\u0103caru gallery and her first ever exhibition in Romania.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n<a data-flickr-embed=true data-header=true href=https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/radio_romania_international\/albums\/72157718660326212 title=mud&#038;butterflies><img src=http:\/\/devrri.freshlemon.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/51039535243_5515115cf6_z.jpg width=640 height=480 alt=mud&#038;butterflies><\/a><script async src=\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js charset=utf-8><\/script>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Born in 1888, Chioma Ebinama is a Nigerian-American artist whose work delves into mythology, animism, and pre-Colonial philosophy. In 2018 she had her first personal show with Romanian-born US-resident Catinca T\u0103b\u0103carus Gallery in New York City, followed by shows with Boys Quarters Project Space in Port Harcourt, Nigeria (2019), Fortnight Institute in New York (2020), and The Breeder in Athens (2020). For this year she has several solo projects with Catinca T\u0103b\u0103caru in Bucharest, Maureen Paley in London and the Haute-Vienne Contemporary Art Museum in France.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;mud&#038;butterflies&#8221; exhibition will be opened in Bucharest until April 24. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br
