He has explained what the attack meant to Israel, precisely 50 years after the Yom Kippur War.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>The ambassador has recollected painful images featuring civilians taken hostage in Gaza and made a brief mention of the measures that are being taken and the operations that are unfolding in response, including collecting information on the hostages and bringing comfort to their families.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Reuven Azar has also underlined the importance of unity and international solidarity with Israel, at these difficult times. In this context, he has dwelt on the recent visit paid by Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu to Israel and on the outpouring of support coming not only from Romanian officials but also from common citizens.
