Today’s segment deals with a
\nprogramme that set out to tackle some of the problems children affected by
\nmigration (CAM). Implemented at national level by Terre des hommes – Romania,
\nICAM (Inclusion of Children Affected by Migration) seeks to increase the level
\nof integration and improve the learning capacity of children affected by
\nmigration by enhancing the climate of convivencia in schools and at home, by
\nraising awareness of children’s rights and the law protecting them, and by
\nproviding additional support in school and in the family for their social and
\nemotional learning and general well-being. <\/p>\n

Supported by the UNHCR and funded
\nby the EU under the Erasmus+ programme, the programme was recommended by the
\nEuropean Commission as an inspirational model in its guide of best practices
\nwhen it comes to the inclusion of Ukrainian refugees in schools. It was
\nimplemented in Romania over December 2019 – May 2022. <\/p>\n

\nmanager on behalf of the national partner – Terre des hommes Romania, and
\nClaudia Iliescu, a history teacher and headmaster at a school in M\u0103gurele,
