\nworth visiting are the monasteries of Ca\u0219in, Runc, M\u0103gura Ocnei, R\u0103ducanu,
\nR\u0103chitoasa, Ciolpani, Tisa-Silvestri and Bogdana, or the church in Borze\u0219ti. The
\nSaint Barbara Orthodox Church in T\u00e2rgu Ocna, located at a depth of 240 meters,

\nis not only the birthplace of the great ruler Stephen the Great, but also of

Objectives in the two
\ncities include the Ghica Palace in Com\u0103ne\u0219ti, which is highly rated and
\nadministered by local authorities. It is an ensemble comprising the 19th
\ncentury palace and park. Today it is home to the Dimitrie Ghica Ethnographic and
\nFolk Arts Museum. The palace was built in 1890 and was designed by Albert
\nGalleron, who also designed the Romanian Athenaeum and the National Bank. It is
\na beautiful ensemble, close to another architectural gem, the Rail Station. Speaking about these palaces, it is also worth
\nmentioning the Ghica Castle and Ghica family park in Dofteana. The castle was
\nbuilt in Romantic style, in a picturesque area, over the 19th and 20th
\ncenturies by Nicolae Ghica, at the time governor of the National Bank of
\nRomania. The Ghica family included dozens of rulers and princes of Romania. The
\npark also includes a guesthouse reconstructing 19th century atmosphere and
\nhosting various events. From here we can travel to Tescani village and visit
\nthe Rosetti Tescanu – George Enescu Cultural Center, with the statue and
\nmemorial house of composer George Enescu. This is where the great composer
\ncompleted his lyrical masterpiece, Oedipus, devoted to M\u0103riuca Contacuzino,
\nborn Rosetti-Tescanu.<\/p>\n

There are countless
\nhistorical and religious monuments here, as well as the Trotu\u0219 salt mine, which
\nis not just a place for entertainment, but also specific treatments. You can spend
\nhours in the mine, and in the summer time you can relax in the salt-water pool
\nclose to the mine. From T\u00e2rgu Ocna, Sl\u0103nic Moldova is a just a short 18km drive
\naway. Sl\u0103nic Moldova needs no special presentation. It is one of the oldest
\nresorts in Romania, known as the pearl of Moldova. Its history knew a booming
\ndevelopment particularly in the Belle Epoque, over 1870-1880, right before the
\nGreat War. It then stood out as a major spa resort. A total of 11 mineral
\nsprings are now included in the tourist circuit, the first of which was
\ndiscovered in 1801 by serdar Mihalache Spiridon from T\u00e2rgu Ocna. Its springs
