Romanian Prime
\nMinister Viorica Dancila has ended her one-week official tour, which included
\nTurkey, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait, meant to draw foreign investment
\nin Romanian infrastructure projects. In Ankara, Prime Minister Dancila was
\nreceived by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on which occasion they
\nsigned documents of bilateral cooperation in the medical and education fields.
\nRomania will further support Turkey’s bid to join the EU and the two countries
\nare determined to continue to work on the consolidation of their economic ties,
\nof security and of the fight against terrorism.<\/p>\n

Viorica
\nDancila’s tour continued with a visit to Dubai, where she met with the United
\nArab Emirates’ leader, Sheik Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. On this occasion,
\nthe Romanian official presented the main opportunities for investment that
\nRomania has to offer and encouraged the Emirate companies’ participation in bids
\nfor projects launched by the Romanian authorities, under current operational
\nprogrammes or under private-public partnerships. The two officials signed a
\njoint declaration regarding a strategic economic partnership. Trade,
\ninvestment, agriculture, tourism, research and innovation are only some of the
\npriority domains in which business people from the two countries will
\ncollaborate.<\/p>\n

In Abu Dhabi,
\nViorica Dancila mentioned ethnic and religious diversity and hailed the UAE authorities’
\nefforts to integrate religious minorities in this country. In Romania, in the south-eastern
\narea of Dobruja and in several other parts of the country, different religious
\ncommunities, the Muslim one included, have been cohabiting in peace and
\nunderstanding for hundreds of years, the Romanian Prime Minister has pointed
\nout. <\/p>\n

The last leg of
\nPrime Minister Dancila’s tour was Kuwait, where, 55 years since the
\nestablishment of the diplomatic ties, the Romanian Prime Minister and Kuwait’s
\npresident, Emir Ahmad Al Jaber al Sabah, voiced their willingness to intensify
\npolitical dialogue and strengthen bilateral cooperation in the political, diplomatic
\nand economic fields. At the same time, the two officials have agreed to
\norganize, next year, the fist meeting of the Romanian-Kuwaiti Joint Cooperation
\nCommittee, coordinated by the foreign ministers. Dancila also met with the
\npresident of the National Assembly, Marzouq Al Ghanim, and the head of the Kuwaiti
\nChamber of Commerce and Industry. Romania and Kuwait have great potential for the
\ndevelopment of new convergent projects, including on third markets, and
\nespecially in the Arab world, in sectors such as road infrastructure, oil and
\ngas, telecommunications and high power lines, Prime Minister Dancila has said.<\/p>\n
