A new edition of the Sibiu Cycling Tour is taking place in central Romania at the end of this week. The competition brings together 24 teams from Romania and abroad at the start. The four stages of the race and related events take place on routes in Sibiu County. The great boxing champion Mihai Leu will be buried on Friday in Hunedoara, his hometown. The former athlete, the first Romanian world champion in professional boxing, passed away on Tuesday in Bucharest at the age of 57, after a long illness. In 1997, under the name Michael L\u00f6we, he won the world welterweight belt, WBO version, defeating Santiago Samaniego of Panama on points. He lost the title a year later, due to an injury that forced him to give up boxing, but he remained undefeated in his professional career.
