The summer season will begin on the Romanian Black Sea coast on May 1, according to an older tradition, when local and tourism authorities decided that all hotels and beaches should be prepared to receive tourists.<\/p>\n
The coast in the off-season offers tranquility, significantly lower accommodation prices, being ideal for relaxation, walks and aerosols, although the sea water cools down and many restaurants close. Recommended resorts are those in the south: Eforie, Neptun, Jupiter, or for hotels that remain open, such as those in Mamaia.<\/p>\n
With global warming and increasingly mild winters, the appearance of swans in winter in some areas of the beaches has become a particular phenomenon, with day trips to the seaside to contemplate these majestic birds, becoming part of the current offer of many travel agencies.<\/p>\n
In addition, there are areas that take advantage of the SPA facilities created, the spropelic mud extracted from Lake Techirghiol, and the salty waters of the sea, to attract tourists throughout the year.<\/p>\n
We go to a complex in Eforie Nord where the SPA center, already expanding, delights visitors. Bolat Lakme, the hotel director, and Mihai R\u0103ducanu, unit manager, spoke to us about the facilities here. Bolat Lakme specified:<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are in Eforie Nord where there is the treatment base made by us, where we have relaxation and treatment. The treatment with Techirghiol mud, which is famous and is the best.\u201d<\/p>\n
And Mihai R\u0103ducanu added:<\/p>\n
\u201cOur All Inclusive package in the off-season, as we are now, with a swimming pool, a playroom, with Playstation, with the buffet that you see, is somewhere between 600-800 lei, two people staying in a double room. With us, the Aquatonic is usually open with 350 rooms, about half. This is what our treatment rooms look like (relaxing ambient music). This is the gym; we have something newer in the wellness area, the gym that is outdoors in the summer, there is a retractable pergola, and there is the sea stretching out in front. Here is the pool, the concept has been truly unique since we opened it in 2015, with over 200 massage areas, some dynamic areas, which work the legs, the back, the different body parts, there are different temperatures there. There is a pool with two temperatures, with 34 and 30 degrees (n.r. Celsius) here, in that round room, the massage starts from the ankles and goes all the way to the back and thighs. We also have Scottish showers, a steam sauna, a salt room, and another dry sauna.\u201d<\/p>\n
The strategy is starting to be adopted by more and more hoteliers eager to keep their accommodation units open for more than the summer, many investing European funds in the creation of swimming pools, saunas, salt rooms, and jacuzzis.<\/p>\n
As for the culinary offer, although most establishments offer international cuisine, an increase in Asian influences can be observed, perhaps also through the presence of the staff, so that sushi is becoming the pi\u00e8ce de r\u00e9sistance in many restaurants, as well as curry-based dishes, but also Romanian varieties, from soups, to Dobrogea stew and pies, or cakes.<\/p>\n
