At Romania’s International Swimming Championships, Romanian swimmer Marius Radu has cleared the Olympic qualification threshold A for the Olympics in Rio in the 4 by 100 meter freestyle race. Radu has thus become the third Romanian swimmer qualified for the 2016 Olympics after Robert Glinţă in the 100 meter backstroke race and Norbert Trandafir in the 50 meter freestyle event. Romania’s relay team in the 4 by 100 meter freestyle race including Marius Radu, Daniel Macovei, Robert Glinţă and Norbert Trandafir has been registered with three minutes, 16 seconds and 71 hundredths but failed to outclass their performance in London. The Romanian quartet keeps real chances to qualify for the Olympics, but must have their performance certified by the international federation.
