Members of the Romanian Football Federation’s General Assembly on Wednesday unanimously voted to change the Association’s visual identity. The Romanian Football Federation’s new logo includes the sketch image of an eagle painted in Romania’s national colors, red, yellow and white. Also at the aforementioned assembly, a presentation film of the Federation was screened. After that, the Romanian Football Federation’s president Razvan Burleanu announced the new slogan, “better, together”.
The Romanian football referee Ovidiu Hategan will officiate the Europa League quarterfinal pitting Napoli against Arsenal, with two assistant referees who are also Romanian, Octavian Sovre and Sebastian Gheorghe. On Wednesday, Gheorgheni won in Miercurea Ciuc, 2-all, while in the first match, Sport Club won, 4-2. The last match for the bronze final is scheduled in Gheorgheni on Thursday. The 3rd-place fixture is played following the best-in-three-matches system. In the final, CSM Galati faces Corona Brasov. We recall CSM Galati defeated ACSH Gheorgheni 3-all, on aggregate, while Corona Brasov defeated holders SC Miercurea Ciuc, 3-1 on aggregate. The championship final is played following the best-in-five matches system.
Cristina Andronic, undersecretary with Romanian Youth and Sports Ministry coordinates activities related to Romanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. In this capacity, Andronic stated that three non-legislative files have been successfully managed, pertaining to the anti-doping field and the disabled persons’ access to sport. Cristina Andronic also mentioned the fact that Romania’s capital city Bucharest played host to a notable event, the European Sports Forum, a noteworthy event that was held over April 8 and 9. The event was organized by the European Commission.
