Women's basketball team Sepsi
Sfantu Gheorghe has made a great leap towards EuroCup's second stage. We recall
that title holders Sepsi secured a 78-70 away win against Galatasaray Istanbul.
Holders Sepsi has thus succeeded its third win in a row, in Group E, in five
rounds, having already secured a first-leg home win against Galata, 78-62. At
the top of the table in group E is Polish team Artego Bydgoszcz, with 8 points.
Sepsi is the runner-up team, with a similar number of points, while Galatasaray
is 3rd-placed, with 7 points. Swedish team Lulea BBK is at the bottom
of the table, with 4 points,. Grou E's last round will see Galatasaray taking
on Artego on December 4th, while Sepsi goes against Lulea on
December the 5th.
basketball's FIBA Europe Cup, U-BT Cluj-Napoca is the winner of Group G, having
secured a 97-83 home win against Eisey Krasnoyarsk on Wednesday. The team from Transylvania's
record in the group is excellent, including five wins in six fixtures; the only
defeat, 87-97, was provided by the away match against Russia's Krasnoyarsk.

In FIBA Europe Cup's
Group D this past Wednesday, CSM CSU Oradea was thrashed by Swiss opponents
Fribourg Olympic, 87-67. For holders CSU Oradea it was the second defeat in a
row, after a series of four wins. CSU Sibiu sustained a 80-71 away defeat by Turkish
challengers Bahcesehir College. Also on Wednesday, CSU Sibiu's record in FIBA
Europe Cup includes one win and five defeats. Bahcesehir College is at the top
of the table in the group with 11 points, followed by CSM CSU Oradea, with 10
points, Fribourg Olympic, with 8 and CSU Sibiu with 7 points.
