The latest from boxing, artistic gymnastics, tennis and football.
Romanian boxer Lucian Bute tested positive for Ostarine, a forbidden substance used for the development of the muscular weight. Bute took the test after last month’s fight against Sweden’s Badou Jack, counting towards the WBC belt in the super middleweight category. Confirming the news was WBC president Mauricio Sulaima. Lucian Bute denied the doping allegations, while his challenger at that time, Swedish boxer Badou Jack hopes the information will turn the tables in his favor. We recall the boxing match fought in Washington on April 30 ended in a draw.
