Halep, que viene de hacer final en Cincinnati, sufre una lesi\u00f3n en el tend\u00f3n de Aquiles, y prefiere descansar para poder llegar en \u00f3ptimas condiciones al Abierto de Estados Unidos: Quer\u00eda jugar y v\u00ed que muchos aficionados compraron entradas para venir a verme, pero tengo mucho dolor en mi tend\u00f3n de Aquiles. He jugado muchos partidos en estas dos \u00faltimas semanas y lo mejor es descansar. Nos veremos el pr\u00f3ximo a\u00f1o, manifest\u00f3 la rumana, seg\u00fan inform\u00f3 Puntodebreak.com.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>La tenista rumana Simona Halep perdi\u00f3 la final del Masters de Cincinnati 2018 ante la holandesa Kiki Bertens por 2-6, 7-6 (5) y 6-2.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Es la tercera final que Simona pierde en Cincinnati un torneo que se disput\u00f3 del 12 al 19 de agosto de 2018 en Ohio, EE.UU., sobre canchas duras.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Por su parte, EFE se\u00f1al\u00f3 que en el torneo de <strong>Cincinnati<\/strong>,<strong> <\/strong>Bertens conquisto el trofeo gracias a una remontada ante la n\u00famero uno del mundo, la rumana Simona Halep.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Halep arranc\u00f3 con firmeza y super\u00f3 a su rival. Pero Bertens se recuper\u00f3 y complet\u00f3 un magn\u00edfico torneo con victorias notables como la semifinal ante Petra Kvitova. Simona ven\u00eda despu\u00e9s de haberle ganado a Sabalenka en la otra semifinal.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Creci\u00f3 la holandesa en el segundo set, que domin\u00f3 a pesar de la reacci\u00f3n en los \u00faltimos juegos de Halep, que lleg\u00f3 a forzar el &#8216;tie break&#8217;. Bertens tuvo menos errores e igual\u00f3 el partido.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Simona Halep se hundi\u00f3 despu\u00e9s y Bertens, la N\u00ba 17 del mundo, prolong\u00f3 su buen nivel para cerrar el triunfo despu\u00e9s de dos horas y 9 minutos y conquistar el sexto trofeo y el m\u00e1s relevante de su carrera.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>El marcador acentu\u00f3 el maleficio de Halep en Cincinnati, informaron otros medios:<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Halep jug\u00f3 la tercera final y se march\u00f3 con otra derrota.  Ahora sucumbi\u00f3 ante Bertens, a la que hab\u00eda superado en tres de los cuatro enfrentamientos previos, el \u00faltimo en Roma en el 2017.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sin embargo, la rumana conserva su puesto de N\u00ba 1 del mundo, elevando su avance frente a la segunda clasificada en el ranking de la WTA, Caroline Wozniacki, a m\u00e1s de 2000 puntos, conseguidos en las \u00faltimas semanas, ya que el pasado 12 de agosto Simona Halep gan\u00f3 el Rogers Cup en Montreal.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recordemos que Simona Halep naci\u00f3 en la ciudad rumana de Constanza,  el  27 de septiembre de 1991.  <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Halep ostenta en su haber 18 t\u00edtulos en individuales de categor\u00eda WTA as\u00ed como tambi\u00e9n 6 t\u00edtulos en individuales y 4 en dobles de categor\u00eda ITF. El 9 de octubre de 2017 se convirti\u00f3 en la jugadora n\u00famero 1 del ranking WTA, tambi\u00e9n es la tenista rumana con mayor ranking en la Era Abierta, mientras que el 15 de mayo de 2017 alcanz\u00f3 su mayor posici\u00f3n en dobles, al llegar a ocupar el puesto n\u00famero 71.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>En junio de 2008, gan\u00f3 Roland Garros en categor\u00eda individual junior femenino, al derrotar a su compatriota Elena Bogdanen la final, convirti\u00e9ndose con ello en la segunda tenista rumana, despu\u00e9s de Mariana Simionescu (campeona de Roland Garros junior femenino en 1974), en ganar un Grand Slam en aquella categor\u00eda y la tercera tenista de Ruman\u00eda, en ganar un Grand Slam individual femenino, ya sea de manera junior como profesional, despu\u00e9s de la anteriormente mencionada y Virginia Ruzici, que lo logr\u00f3 de manera profesional, tambi\u00e9n en Roland Garros, en la edici\u00f3n de 1978.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p><strong>A nivel profesional, Simona gan\u00f3 el Torneo de Roland Garros en 2018.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>En 2013, gan\u00f3 sus primeros 6 t\u00edtulos de categor\u00eda WTA, logrando una haza\u00f1a que no hab\u00eda sido lograda desde que Steffi Graf gan\u00f3 sus primeros 7 t\u00edtulos en el a\u00f1o 1986. Lo anterior le vali\u00f3 el premio a la Jugadora de Mejor Progresi\u00f3n de la temporada en la WTA, siendo la segunda tenista rumana en obtener dicho reconocimiento. En los a\u00f1os 2014 y 2015, Halep gan\u00f3 el premio a la Jugadora M\u00e1s Popular de la WTA. Desde Wimbledon 2017, es la tenista en activo que m\u00e1s semanas consecutivas ha permanecido en el Top 10 del ranking mundial.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Tras haber acabado en la cima la temporada pasada y proclamarse como primera del mundo, empieza la temporada 2018 en Shenzen en donde ganar\u00eda el torneo. Suma as\u00ed su 16\u00ba t\u00edtulo de su carrera y rompe su maleficio de perder 4 finales consecutivas.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>En Roland Garros, Halep derrot\u00f3 a Alison Riske, Taylor Townsend, Andrea Petkovic, Elise Mertens, Angelique Kerber, y Garbi\u00f1e Muguruza para alcanzar su segunda final consecutiva en Par\u00eds, donde se enfrent\u00f3 a la d\u00e9cima cabeza de serie y campeona del US Open, Sloane Stephens. En la final del Abierto de Francia 2018, Halep perdi\u00f3 el primer set 3-6, pero ganaria el segundo por 6-4.
