Il vous faut un poulet : gros ou plut\u00f4t petit, c&rsquo;est \u00e0 vous de choisir. Il vous faut aussi quatre gousses d&rsquo;ail, un piment rouge, deux gros poivrons rouges, deux grosses tomates \u00e9galement rouges et bien m\u00fbres.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>C\u00f4t\u00e9 condiments et herbes, pr\u00e9voyez du poivre du moulin et du thym ainsi qu&rsquo;une botte de persil et une petite feuille de laurier. Commencez par couper le poulet en deux par la poitrine et l&rsquo;\u00e9taler en une sorte de roue. Vous pouvez le battre avec  un attendrisseur \u00e0 viande afin de le rendre plus plat et plus facile \u00e0 cuire. Et si on \u00e9voque la cuisson, sachez que traditionnellement le poulet est pr\u00e9par\u00e9 au feu de charbon sur un lit de sel pos\u00e9 sur une t\u00f4le. <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Pourtant, si vous souhaitez r\u00e9duire la quantit\u00e9 de sel, vous pouvez le cuire tout simplement sur un grill au barbecue ou pourquoi pas sur une table de cuisson dans le confort de votre propre cuisine. Il faut pourtant le frotter avec du sel grossier et l&rsquo;huiler avec de l&rsquo;huile d&rsquo;olive avant d&rsquo;y appliquer les herbes : poivre du moulin et thym. <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>N&rsquo;oubliez pas non plus de griller les poivrons et les tomates avant de les \u00e9plucher et de les couper en rondelles. Finalement, quand le poulet est bien dor\u00e9 sur ses deux c\u00f4t\u00e9s, voire un peu noirci par-ci par-l\u00e0, retirez-le du grill et frottez-le pour disposer de l&rsquo;exc\u00e8s de sel et des parties br\u00fbl\u00e9es. Posez le poulet dans une cocotte ou tout simplement sur un plateau assez grand. Ecrasez les gousses d&rsquo;ail et hachez le piment avant de les mettre sur le poulet. Ajoutez la feuille de laurier et les rondelles de poivron et de tomates grill\u00e9es ainsi que le persil finement hach\u00e9. A la fin, recouvrez le tout d&rsquo;eau bouillante.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Le poulet sur lit de sel s&rsquo;accompagne \u00e0 merveille d&rsquo;une belle polenta chaude et pourquoi pas d&rsquo;une salade de cornichons en saumure. De toute fa\u00e7on, pensez \u00e0 accompagner ce plat d&rsquo;un vin blanc demi-sec tr\u00e8s frais !
