Women's handball. The Romanian side SCM Râmnicu Vâlcea lost to the Montenegrin side Buducnost Podgorica, 29-28, on Saturday, in a Champions League Group B match. SCM Râmnicu Vâlcea, who were without six key players and their main coach Florentin Pera, put on a remarkable performance and were very close to winning their first point in this edition of the competition, but missed a chance to score the equalising goal in the very last seconds of the match. SCM Râmnicu Vâlcea will next be playing BV Borussia 09 Dortmund, on 22nd November, also away.


CSM Bucharest drew 22-all against the Slovenian side RK Krim Mercator Ljubljana in a home match on Saturday in the Champions League Group A.
