Ostale dve komponente  projekta  razvija\u0107e se u Pragu, u \u010ce\u0161koj, i Segedinu, u Madjarskoj. Budu\u0107i evropski cenatar za istra\u017eivanje lasera visokih snaga i interakcija lasera i materije pretvori\u0107e Rumuniju u atraktivni istra\u017eiva\u010dki pol za  eksperte  iz celog sveta.  Na otvaranju radova, Evropski komesar za  regionalne politike, Johanes Han, je  govorio o  potencijalu  ovog budu\u0107eg pola istra\u017eivanja:\u2019\u2019 Ovo je va\u017ean trenutak ne samo za nau\u010dnu zajednicu iz Rumunije, ve\u0107 i za celu Evropu.  Evropska unija  finansira  ovaj projekat poyama\u0161nim fondovima I  prvi  put se iz regionalnih fondova kofinansira bazno istra\u017eivanje i to iz dva razloga. U prvom redu ova infrastruktura ima visok potencijal privla\u010denja istra\u017eivaca i studenata. Ovo predstavlja i korak ka pretvaranju odliva mozgova u protok mozgova i ve\u0107oj privla\u010dnosti nau\u010dne karijere. U drugom redu ovaj projekat  mo\u017ee postaviti Evropu na svetsku mapu istra\u017eivanja nuklearne fizike  koriste\u0107i vrhunsku lasersku tehnologiju.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Probija\u0107e se fizi\u010dke barijere, ka\u017eu rumunski  istraziva\u010di,  uz napomenu da nije re\u010d samo o  izgradnji najve\u0107eg lasera na svetu, ve\u0107 o premijeri u oblast fizike. Jer \u0107e se prvi put ispresecati laserski snop sa snopom \u010destica iz akceleratora  gama \u010destica. Laserski sistem i sistem koji proizvodi gama snopove prema\u0161uju najbolje rezultate sli\u010dnih sistema. Snaga  lasera bi\u0107e od 10 miliona miliardi wati i ravna je snazi 100 hiljada miliardi sijalica od po 100 wati. Poredjenja radi, postoje\u0107i laseri  u Velikoj Britaniji i SAD  su 10 puta slabiji. Kompleks \u0107e biti podignut u naselju Magurele na seizmickim amortizerima, jer i najmanje vibracije  mogle bi da izazovu  pravu katastrofu. Jedno krilo platforme ima\u0107e 18 podzemnih spratova, a drugo 8. Centar ce bili analogi\u010dan CERN-u iz \u017deneve. CERN  funkcioni\u0161e u oblast elementarnih \u010destica, dok  \u0107e u Magureleu  biti re\u0107 o interakciji  elektromagnetske radijacije  sa materijom.   Centar u naselju Magurele  bi\u0107e jedinstven ne samo po dimenzijama, ve\u0107 i po karakteristikama- ka\u017ee Nikolaje Zamfir, director Instituta za fiziku i nuklearnu in\u017eenjeriju, koordinator projekta  ELI za Rumuniju:\u2019\u2019 ELI je plasiran  na polu koji  prema\u0161uje i to mnogo sve \u0161to mi sada imamo, jedina je zgrada na svetu koja treba da ispuni  posebne uslove. Za\u0161tita od vibracija obezbedjuje se preuzimanjem svih vibracija, a temperatura i vla\u017enost  pode\u0161avaju se pomo\u0107u sistema koji  tro\u0161i vi\u0161e od 5 MGW-a. Ova energija obezbedjuje se iz geotermalnih izvora. Bi\u0107e najve\u0107a zgrada Evrope snabdevena  zelenom energijom.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Prema oceni eksperata  snaga lasera  koji \u0107e ovde raditi  ve\u0107a je  nego \u0161to bi mogao teoretski da podnese\u2019\u2019prenos materije\u2019. Ovaj laser se mo\u017ee koristiti u raznim oblastima , od le\u010denja raka pa do uni\u0161tavanja radioaktivnog otpada.  U le\u010denju raka, ova vrsta lasera moze se pode\u0161avati tako da laserski  intenzitet  dostigne  maksimalnu snagu kada stigne do tumora, a da tom prilikom  ne o\u0161teti okolna tkiva -obja\u0161njava fizi\u010dar Andrej Dorobancu.  U medicini laser bi se mogao koristiti za stvaranje  radioaktivnih izotopa  koji se upotrebljavaju za le\u010denje odredjenih bolesti.  Laser bi se mogao upotrebiti za testiranje nuklearnih reaktora i bez zaustavljanja ovih postrojenja kao i na grani\u010dnim prelazima za predupredivanje terorizma. Eksperti isti\u010du da \u0107e se verovatno  re\u0161iti i pitanje radioaktivnog otpada- najve\u0107eg problema nuklearne energije. Poznato je da neki otpadi imaju \u017eivotni vek od vi\u0161e miliona godina, a izlaganjem  laserskoj radiaciji ovaj interval  se mo\u017ee smanjiti na samo nekoliko \u010dasova.
