H.E. Uffe Balslev highlights his country's priorities for the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union, and discusses Denmark-Romania relations

Denmark has officially taken over from Poland the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union. The event was marked in Bucharest by a press conference.
The Danish priorities for the next six months are military consolidation, so that Europe can defend itself by 2030, a strong and competitive economy, necessary for real security, and advancing the negotiations on the enlargement of the Union with Ukraine, Moldova and the Western Balkans.
The motto of the Danish presidency is “A strong Europe, in a changing world”.
