DRAFT In its session today the Romanian government is expected to endorse a draft emergency ordinance on setting up a Data Network on agricultural durability. The Common Agricultural Policy and the European Green Deal clearly stipulate the following objectives – reducing the loss of nutrients, as well as the use of fertilizers and pesticides; reducing the sales of antimicrobial agents, increasing bio agriculture. They also provide for increasing the characteristics of the landscape with high diversity. The Executive will be debating upon a memorandum over increasing the number of jobs of the National Agency for Employment by 600, funded through the European Social Fund.

EASTER Orthodox believers, who are a majority in Romania, and Greek-Catholics, are today on Holy Thursday, marking the Last Supper, the arrest and trial of Jesus Christ by the religious and political authority of the time. According to the gospels, on this day Jesus instated the Holy Liturgy, lowered Himself by washing the feet of his disciples, and was betrayed by Judas. We recall that Catholic and Protestant believers celebrated Easter last Sunday.

Gabriela Ruse, also from Romania, who outperformed Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska in a three-setter, will be up against Jelena Ostapenko of Latvia in the quarterfinals. Both matches will be taking place on Friday.
