COURT The Court of Appeal in Bucharest is expected to rule today on an application tabled by an AUR lawyer, from the Parliament opposition, on the suspension of two Constitutional Court judges. According to her the two magistrates do not meet the conditions to be appointed in the position of CCR judges, namely at least 18 years in the legal service or in the legal higher education. In the case of one of the judges, a CCR ruling last year established that his appointment was constitutional and the CCR decisions cannot be cancelled in courts. The case of the second judge is more complicated for he had served as a professor with the Law School only for three years and four months. The Presidential Administration representative who proposed him has also called for the rejection of the application of the AUR lawyer as she exceeded the deadline for tabling it.
