Romanian midfielder Nicolae Stanciu has again scored for his side, Anderlecht Brussels. It happened on Wednesday night during Anderlechts away match against Westerlo in the 23rd leg of Belgiums championship. Final scoring: Anderlecht 4, Westerlo 2. The Romanian made it 2-1 to Anderlecht on 15 minutes, this being the second consecutive goal he scored for his side after that on Sunday, when Anderlecht outperformed St. Truiden 3-1. Stanciu, a former Steaua player, has so far scored four times in the 17 matches hes played for Anderlecht, a team that is presently two points behind the first side on the table, FC Bruges, which have recently secured a home win against Beveren.

Also on Wednesday, Romanian striker Raul Rusescu scored two goals for Turkish side Osmanlispor. The Ankara-based Osmanlispor clinched a 3-0 home win against third-leaguer Kirklarelispor in Turkeys Cup football tournament. Moroccan Adrien Regattin drew first blood for Osmanlispor in the games 13th minute, while Rusescu added a second fifteen minutes from time to seal the points 10 minutes later.

A leg before the end of the tournament, Osmanlispor tops the table in Group A with the same number of points as Sanliurfaspor, 12. Gaziantepspor comes next with 9 points and Kirklarelispor with no points. The first two sides in the group are qualifying for the eighths finals. Rusescu has this season won 27 caps for his side for which he scored 7 goals.

Romanian football side Steaua Bucharest has managed to hire AS Rome fullback Mihai Balasa in exchange for 500 thousand euros. Balasa, 22, is one of the most promising young footballers.
