Muguruza won two Grand Slam tournaments, the Roland Garros, in 2016 and the Wimbledon tournament in 2017. The last time when Muguruza reached a a Grand Slam tournament semifinal was in 2018, when she was defeated by Simona Halep, in Roland Garros. However, Muguruza vs Halep head-to-head points to a 3-2 advantage for the Spaniard. Muguruzas all three wins against Halep occurred on hard court.
