The Romanian tennis player Sorana Cîrstea Wednesday qualified for the round of 16 of the WTA 250 tournament hosted by the French city of Rouen. In the first round of the competition, she beat Fiona Ferro (France), 6-3, 6-7, 7-6. Also on Wednesday, in the round of 16, Jaqueline Cristian was defeated by Katie Boulter (UK), 7-6, 4-6, 6-1.

On Wednesday, Alba Blaj defeated Corona Brașov at home, 3-0, taking the overall score to 2-1. Alba Blaj will play the championship final for the 12th time in a row.
