Romania concluded the World Weightlifting Championships addressing cadets and juniors in Lima, Peru, with five medals, four silver and one bronze. Most medals were won by Romanian athlete Tiberiu Donose. In the junior competition, he won three medals in the 73-kg category: bronze in the snatch event, silver in the clean and jerk and also silver in the total event.
