The European Youth Rowing Championships for athletes under 23, held in Račice, in the Czech Republic, ended on Sunday. The Romanian delegation left the competition with nine medals, of which six gold, one silver and two bronze. The men’s two-oar, four-oar and 8+1 crews won gold, just like the women’s four-oar and double sculls, and the mixed 8+1 crew. Somehow below expectations, the girls in the 8+1 boat won the silver medals. The women’s two-oar and four-oar crews were awarded bronze.
