Romanias womens national handball team plays in Bucharest this coming weekend its fixtures counting towards the Carpati Trophy, a competition that has reached its 51st edition. Joining Romania for the competition are Olympic champions Russia, world vice-champions in 2013, Serbia, and Romania B. This is the last test match ahead of the European Championship in France, scheduled in December. Next week, Romania plays its debut fixture against the Czech Republic. Also joining Romania in the group are Germany and Norway.

Romanias womens national handball team plays in Bucharest this coming weekend its fixtures counting towards the Carpati Trophy, a competition that has reached its 51st edition. Joining Romania for the competition are Olympic champions Russia, world vice-champions in 2013, Serbia, and Romania B. This is the last test match ahead of the European Championship in France, scheduled in December. Next week, Romania plays its debut fixture against the Czech Republic. Also joining Romania in the group are Germany and Norway.



In mens handball on Sunday, in a home confrontation, Dobrogea Sud Constanta face Swedish opponents Malmo, in a match counting towards the return leg of the EHF Cups third preliminary round. In the first round last week, the team from Constanta grabbed a 23-22 away win. Also at the weekend, games are being played, counting towards the Champions Leagues group D. Dinamo Bucharest is also part of Group D.



Top-of-the-table team, Polish side Wisla Plock takes on Spanish contenders Abanca Ademar Leon on home court this coming Saturday. On Sunday, the Swiss team Wacker Thun travels to Norway, to face Elverum. On Wednesday, Dinamo Bucharest grabbed a 4-22 win against Finnish challengers Riihimaen Cocks.



Ahead of this coming weekends fixtures, Wisla Plock are at the top of the table, with 12 points, followed by Dinamo, also with 12 points, but with a poorer goal average. Third-placed are Abanca Ademar Leon, with 11 points, while fourth-placed are Norways Elverum, with 10 points. Fifth-placed are Riihimaen Cocks with 4 points, while Wacker Thun are at the bottom of the table, with 1 point. Only the first two teams are entitled to go through to the playoffs. Dinamos last group fixture is scheduled on November 29, away from home, against Swiss side Wacker Thun.



This coming weekend will see matches being played counting towards the 16th round of domestic League One. On Friday, Dinamo Bucharest are pitted against Gaz Metan Medias. On Saturday, Astra Giurgiu travel to Sfantu Gheorghe for a match against the local side Sepsi, while on home turf, Concordia Chiajna face CFR Cluj. On Sunday, Dunarea Calarasi plays a home game against FC Hermannstandt, then FC Voluntari receives the visit of south-eastern team Viitorul Constanta. Sundays last game is the match pitting Poli Iasi and FCSB. On Monday, the last fixture of round 16 will see FC Botosani taking on Universitatea Craiova. The leading team is CFR Cluj with 30 points, followed by FCSB, with 28.
