In a message to Radio Romania, Javad
Mottaghi, Secretary General of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union, praised the
recent activity of Radio Romania, highlighting the need for the public radio to
remain independent.
The message comes in the context of a recent
legislative proposal for the merger of the public radio with the public
television station, which is currently facing severe financial difficulties.
