New Year Message by President Klaus Iohannis
The Romanian President Klaus Iohannis conveyed a traditional New Year message to Romanians.

On the occasion of the New Year, the Romanian President Klaus Iohannis conveyed a traditional message to all Romanians. He wished Romanians a new year 2016 with happiness, accomplishments and higher aspirations. In his New Year address, the Romanian President said the year 2015 was a difficult year but one in which the Romanian society returned to normality.
Klaus Iohannis: “For all of us, the year 2015 was a complicated year, marked by serious challenges, with extreme moments when difficult but necessary decisions had to be made. However 2015 was the year of returning to normality, when a deep reconstruction process of the Romanian society was started. With hope, courage and determination, Romanians have proved that they can overcome any obstacle”.
In his New Year address, President Klaus Iohannis expressed hope that in 2016 changes for the better will happen in Romania and he urged Romanians to make good use of all opportunities in order to make the country progress.
Klaus Iohannis: “Today, when we mark the beginning of a new year, I wish you all a 2016 with happiness, many accomplishments and higher aspirations. I look at 2016 with confidence. I want that changes for the better should take shape in Romania. It depends on us alone to use all opportunities in order to go forward and turn Romania into the country we want. A Happy New Year, dear Romanians, wherever you are!”
