The casino was officially inaugurated on August 15, 1910, in the presence of Prince Ferdinand. The event marked the beginning of the most glorious period in the history of the city of Constanța. The building was equipped with the most modern European facilities, including advanced lighting and heating systems. The interior featured gaming halls, a luxury restaurant, and a performance hall. The Casino immediately attracted high-profile visitors from across Europe, ranging from diplomats to famous aristocrats. The city began to be compared to the great resorts of the French Riviera, such as Nice or Monte Carlo. Games of chance, such as roulette and baccarat, were played in an atmosphere of absolute refinement. This period, known as the Belle Époque, established the Casino as a center of Romanian elegance. The monument quickly became the most photographed building in Romania, appearing on all the postcards of the time. (MI)
