AsiaFest 2026: 16 nations celebrate Asian food, culture and performance

The latest episode of Weekend Edition takes listeners into the heart of Bucharest’s Sector 2, where the National Arena hosted the 13th edition of AsiaFest over September 4–6, 2026. As the largest celebration of Asian culture in Bucharest, the festival offered families, teenagers and culture enthusiasts a final blast of summer fun right before the start of the new school year.
This year’s festival featured 16 participating countries and introduced new thematic zones, including dedicated Korean, Japanese, Turkish and Indian Corners, alongside a KJ Corner for K-pop and anime fans. Visitors experienced an array of traditional craft workshops, such as Turkish Ebru water-painting, Japanese origami, Korean calligraphy and Indian rangoli, along with interactive kids’ zones, VR experiences and driving simulators.
