The Romanian Superliga football season resumes at the end of this week with the matches of the 11th round.

This weekend, the Women’s Handball Champions League brings us a doubleheader featuring Romanian and Danish teams. Both matches are scheduled for Sunday. In Group A, CSM Bucharest will host Team Esbjerg. The Danish team has not yet suffered a defeat in the current edition of the League. They have won all four matches played and lead the standings, tied on points with Ferencváros and Brest-Bretagne. CSM Bucharest follows them in the standings, with two wins and two defeats.
In Group B, Gloria Bistrița will play on the road against Nykøbing Falster. The Scandinavian team has not had a great start to this season’s League campaign. They have one win, one draw, and two losses, placing them sixth in the standings. Gloria is in third place, with two wins and two losses. Among the teams defeated by the Transylvanian side was Odense, the Danish runner-up.
The second leg of the second qualifying round matches is taking place in the EHF European League. On Saturday, SCM Râmnicu Vâlcea will play in Germany against TUSSIES Metzingen. In the first leg, the Romanian team won at home by a 15-goal margin, score 39 to 24. Corona Brașov will also play on the road against the Serbian team Red Star Belgrade. In the first leg, the team from Brașov won at home, 32–25. It’s also worth noting that another Romanian team, Dunărea Brăila, will enter the EHF European League directly into the third qualifying round.
This weekend, the Romanian Superliga football championship resumes with the 11th round matches. On Friday, there are two games: Corvinul Hunedoara vs. FC Voluntari and OSK Sepsi Sfântu Gheorghe vs. Dinamo Bucharest. On Saturday, FC Botoșani plays at home against UTA Arad, while FCSB faces Oțelul Galați in Bucharest. On Sunday, in Miercurea Ciuc, Universitatea Craiova will take on Csikszereda, and in Ovidiu, Farul Constanța plays against Petrolul from Ploiești. The last two games of the round will be played on Monday: FC Argeș vs. CFR Cluj and Universitatea Cluj vs. Rapid. Dinamo leads the standings with 23 points, followed by Rapid with 21. (LS)
