A new Champions League round in women’s
handball is scheduled this coming weekend. In a Group B fixture on Saturday,
CSM Ramnicu Valcea take on Hungarian opponents Gyor, away from home. Gyor are
the runner-up team in the group, with two wins and two draws on their record
sheet. CSM Ramnicu Valcea are at the bottom of the table with a record of three
defeats in a similar number of games. CSM have had an auspicious debut in the domestic
championship, grabbing a 28-to-24 win against SCM Craiova in Ploiesti this past
Thursday.

CSM Bucharest play Hungarian opponents
Ferencvaros Budapest, in a Champions League confrontation this coming Sunday. CSM’s
lineup for the game will include Cristina Neagu, who was in lockdown as she
tested positive for COVID-19. In the domestic championship’s debut stage, CSM
Bucharest secured a 32-20 win against Gloria Buzau. In the Champions league, CSM
are 4th-placed in group A, with two wins and one defeat on their
record sheet. With one win and one defeat in only two games they have played so
far, Ferencvaros are 6th-placed in Group A.

since this coming weekend will see matches being played, counting towards the 7th
round of domestic League One championship. On Friday, FC Argeş take on Astra
Giurgiu. On Saturday, in Ploiesti, Chindia Târgovişte take on Gaz Metan Mediaş,

Academica Clinceni play FCSB. Craiova are at the top of the table with 18 points,
followed by FCSB and CFR Cluj, with 12 points each.
