Romanian champions CFR Cluj on
Thursday ended their Europa League run this season. In the return leg of the
competition’s round of 32, the team from Cluj drew nil-all against Spanish side

Sepsi Sfantu Gheorghe will play Poli Iasi, while Dinamo Bucharest will take on
Academica Clinceni. On Saturday, Viitorul Constanta will play FC Voluntari

Gaz Metan Medias. On Monday, CFR Cluj will take on Astra Giurgiu at home. CFR
tops the league tables with 26 points, followed by Universitatea Craiova and FC

We move on to news from women’s

last but one round in the group phase. Gyor is currently the leader in Group 2
with 15 points, followed by Brest Bretagne of France with 13 points, Buducnost
Podgorica of Montenegro with 10 points, SCM Ramnicu Valcea with 5 points, Krim
Ljubljana of Slovenia with 3 points and Savehof of Sweden with 2 points. In
Group 1, on Sunday, CSM Bucharest will take on Metz of France away from home.
The French club is the leader of the group, with the same number of points as
Team Esbjerg of Denmark, 11. Rostov Don of Russia is in 3rd place
with 9 points, the same as CSM Bucharest, although with a better goal-average
ratio. Vipers Kristiansand of Norway ranks 5th with 5 points,
followed by Hungary’s Ferencvaros with 3 points.

In men’s handball, let us note that
Dinamo Bucharest will be playing the return leg of the Champions League round
