Romania has also been officially granted permission to host the 2016 edition of the European Juniors Championships, to be held in Bucharest over June 21 and 26. The Romanian Wrestling Federation also keeps its hopes high it would organize the European Seniors Championships in 2017. Three-time world beach wrestling champion Vlad Caras, who also won gold in the World Championships, will now have the chance to defend his titles in front of his fans, according to the Romanian Wrestling Federation.
