The success of the National Radio Orchestra in Kuala Lumpur
The National Radio Orchestras concerts at the World Summit on Media for Children in Malaysias capital were one of the highlights of the event.

A cultural ambassador of Romania in Asia in recent years through the concerts given by its orchestras and choirs in such countries as Japan and China, the Public Radio has once again confirmed its role in Kuala Lumpur.
The National Radio Orchestra received standing ovations from the more than 1,000 participants in the World Summit on Media for Children, as they performed two exceptional works, George Enescu’s Romanian Rhapsody no.1 and Anghelus Dinicu’s The Skylark, as well as pieces from the international repertoire.
The secretary general of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union, Javad Mottaghi, said it was wonderful to have a Romanian concert in Malaysia and that everyone at the summit was really impressed with the quality of the performances and the musicians and their enthusiasm to bring Romanian culture to that part of the world.
Speaking about the importance of this summit in the 21st century, Javad Mottaghi said it is about the young generation and role the media has to play in educating children, the quality of media programs for children and the challenges facing children, such as poverty, health issues and the lack of education.
Children, said Javad Mottaghi, have to understand that the world is diverse, that we have different cultures, economies, policies, populations and languages, and that they need to understand their neighbours and the international community much better.
