Romania’s national rugby team has trounced Portugal 54-nil on Wednesday evening in a friendly match played in Lisbon. Romania’s team was coached by former international player Marius Tincu, who is acting as interim head coach. The Oaks will make their debut in Rugby Europe International Championship 2019 on February 9 on Cluj Arena in a match against Georgia.
We move on to news from handball. Romania’s vice-champions and EHF Cup title holders SCM Craiova continue their poor run this season. In the 14th round of the National Handball League, the team from Craiova lost 22-28 to Dunarea Braila, a team ranked 11th in the standings. At half-time Craiova was leading 14-13.
