Romanian weightlifter Loredana Toma
grabbed three gold medals in the 64-kg category on Wednesday at the World
Weightlifting Championships held in Rome, a competition that counts towards the
Olympic Games in Tokyo this year. Toma won the snatch event with 113 kg, being
followed by Maude Charron of Canada with 105kg and Italy's Giorgia Bordignon

score 76-74. The match counted towards the FIBA EuroCup Group J. The final
score was set by American Patrick Richard, who scored the final two points
three seconds from full time, after intercepting the ball. Tsmoki Minsk is top
of the group tables with 8 points, followed by U-BT Cluj-Napoca, also with 8
points. Ironi Ness Ziona ranks third, while CSM CSU Oradea is in 4th
place, both with 7 points. The top two teams will advance to the quarterfinals.

Romanian tennis player Simona Halep
